Rabat, Morocco

Rabat is the capital of Morocco since the country got their independence from the French. It is very much the administrative town as any capital.

The city has many interesting architectural and historical sights dating from the Almohad and Merenid dynasties. You can spend a day or even few mores exploring the sights and enjoying the local beaches. You can get along in Rabat without a guide.

The most famous sights is the Chellah, the Phoenicians and Carthaginians old trading post and citadel. You can also visit the old town, medina the port with its blue shade buildings and the never completed Hassan II tower
