Day 1 Fes - Midelt - Merzouga
Early morning pick up from your accommodation in Fes as today is the longest day of our travel. Today we will traverse incredible and varied sceneries. At first the impressive cedar forested hillsides of Azrou where we might see the Barbary apes then across the Middle Atlas Mountains where we might encounter Nomads walking along with their herds. Then the scenery will change again as we approach the palm oasis of Ziz Valley lined by many palm trees all the way to Erfoud, desert gateway. From here it is about 1 hour more of drive to Merzouga, the desert of Morocco with its stunning Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Here we exchange our vehicle for the seat of camels and rek into the desert during the sunset for about 2 hours. Night in tents, (B, D)
Day 2 Merzouga - Todra Gorge - Dades Gorge
In the morning we return back to Merzouga on the camels to enjoy breakfast, shower before our departure. Today's road takes us to Todra Gorge, the highest oasis in Morocco where the walls climb 300 m and are mere 20 meters apart. After our visit we travel to another equally yet different spectacular gorge of Dades. We will traverse the strange rock creation of Tamnalt hills to reach the hotel in the Dades Gorge. (B, D
Day 3 Dades Gorge - Ait Ben haddou - Marrakech
Yet another day of adventure as we make our way to Marrakech. Today we set to Rose Valley and Skoura Oasis to Ouarzazate and Ait Ben haddou. Here we visit the well known Kasbahs so beautiful and inspiring. Declare as UNESCO heritage sight is wonderful place to explore and feel the history. Then after our visit we set to cross the High Atlas Mountains on a dramatic drive with splendid views to Marrakech.
