Day 1: Casablanca - Rabat
Welcome to Morocco. After greeting, if time allows, we travel to visit the Hassan II mosque and then transfer to Rabat, which is about 1 hour away. (B)
Day 2: Rabat - Meknes - Volubis - Fes
Morning we will visit Rabat and its sights. Then we travel to the Imperial City of Meknes, the youngest Imperial City in Morocco. We will spend some time here visiting the old medina. Then we travel to Volubilis, 27 b.c. Roman Ruins before transfer to Fes. (B)
Day 3: Fes
Guided walking tour of the city with an official guide. (B)
Day 4: Fes - Merzouga
Change of scene as we depart from the crowded city of Fes to the desert town of Merzougaa. We will be passing through Ifrane, Azrou, and the Middle Atlas Mountains. In the cedar forests of Azrou, we might encounter the Barbary Apes in their natural environment. Late afternoon to Merzouga, where we spend the night in the hotel built on the outskirts of the Erg Chebbi dunes. (B, D)
Day 5: Merzouga (Erg Chebbi dunes)
Spend some time in this breathtaking region. We recommend visiting the ancient city of Rissani or one of the typica villages of the region, where you can listen to the Gnawa music or just relax at the pool of your hotel. Late afternoon, we saddle our camels and trek for about 2 hours in the region of the dunes. Enjoy the solitude of the desert during sunset. Night in tents (B, D)
Day 6: Merzouga - Todra Gorge - Ouarzazate
Return from the desert on the camels to Merzouga, where we have a chance to take a shower before our journey. Today we will visit the highest oasis in Morocco, Todra Gorge. Local Berber people can often be seen in the gorge. Then we follow the road through the Rose Valley and Skoura Oasis to Ouarzazate, where we spend the night. (B, D)
Day 7: Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech
Today we'll cross the High Atlas Mountains on a dramatic pass of Tizi Tichka. This highest road pass offers amazing views of the mountainous landscape. We will also visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. Dated from the 16th century, it is the most impressive Ksour in Morocco. Spend some time appreciating it. (B)
Day 8: Marrakech

Day 9: Marrakech - Casablanca
Transfer to the airport, please allow 3 hours.
