Day 1: Casablanca - Marrakech
Welcome at the airport, followed by visiting the economic capital of Morocco. Here we view the Hassan 2 Mosque and then transfer to Marrakech.
Day 2: Marrakech
After breakfast has a guided walking tour of Marrakesh. Our visit will include Koranic Schools, ancient tombs, and palaces. (B)
Day 3: Ouarzazate
Today we set out into the High Atlas Mountains. We will depart at about 9 am to Ouarzazate through the Atlas mountain range and over the Tizi N Tichka pass. Enjoy this very scenic and dramatic drive. Then we reach the Kasbah Ait Haddou. Here we have time to enjoy the V Unesco-protected World Heritage sight before continuing to Ouarzazate (B, D)
Day 4: Ouarzazate - Zagora
After breakfast, we set out for the provincial town of Zagora. We will be traveling along a very varied scenery of barren landscapes to the Draa Valley, lined by many palm groves, mainly dates and small Sub-Saharan Berber villages. (B, D)
Day 5: Zagora - Merzouga
Today, we follow the Draa river valley towards Nekob, where it will slowly go, and the volcanic mountains of Sahro will lie alongside our road. They take us all the way to Merzoug, where we can enjoy a short camel trek in the region during the fantastic sunset, with the possibility to spend the night either in tents or a hotel. (B.D)
Day 6: Merzouga - Todra Gorges
Today, we will travel to the high-rising walls of the Todra Gorge. The walls of the gorge rise over 300 meters and are mere 20 meters apart. It is a region dotted by deserted kasbahs, palmeries, and mud brick villages, creating a paradise for any photographer. We have some time to explore this wonderful region *(B.D)
Day 7: Todra Gorges - Marrakech
After breakfast, depart for the route of the thousands of Kasbahs. We’ll make a stop to enjoy the Valley of Dades and the Kalaa of Mgouna: the city of roses. Then we reach the city of Ouarzazate, from where we set out to cross the High Atlas Mountains back to Marrakech.
Day 8: Casablanca
After breakfast, depart for Airport Med V.
