Day 1: Marrakech – Telouet – Ait Ben Haddou

We will collect you from your hotel or riad in Marrakech at 9:00 a.m. and begin our journey into the peaks of the High Atlas Mountains, visible in the background of Marrakech. The views become increasingly impressive as we ascend into the Atlas Mountains. We cross Morocco’s highest road pass, Tizi n’Tichka, reaching an altitude of 2,260 meters and offering splendid panoramic views.

We then begin our descent into the town of Telouet, where we visit the stunning Kasbah of Telouet. Although the kasbah is in poor condition, the remaining structures are very impressive. We continue along the Ounila Valley, passing many small villages before reaching the town of Ait Ben Haddou. Here, we visit the UNESCO-protected ksar. You will have plenty of time to walk through the winding streets of the kasbah and enjoy the awe-inspiring views. Overnight stay in Ait Ben Haddou. (B, D)

Day 2: Ait Ben Haddou – Todra Gorge – Merzouga (Chebbi Sand Dunes)

Today’s journey takes us across green valleys, dramatic gorges, and finally to the rolling dunes of the desert. We first pass through the city of Ouarzazate, from where we join the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Traveling through arid landscapes, the scenery gradually changes as we approach the Skoura Palm Oasis and the Rose Valley, where countless rose bushes bloom between April and May, filling the air with a wonderful fragrance.

We continue through several towns to reach Tinghir and the spectacular Todra Gorge. This impressive canyon cuts through towering mountains, with sheer rock walls rising to 300 meters. From the gorge, we continue toward the desert and arrive in Merzouga. Here, camels are saddled for a trek of approximately two hours into the dunes. We spend the night in a nomadic tent, accompanied by Berber guides who prepare a fresh dinner and may entertain you with traditional drumming. Enjoy a magical night in the desert beneath a sky filled with millions of stars. (B, D)

Day 3: Merzouga – Midelt – Fes

In the morning, we return by camel to Merzouga, where we enjoy breakfast and have time to shower before departure. This is the longest travel day as we continue to Fes. The journey takes us along the scenic Ziz Valley, then into the Middle Atlas Mountains, crossing cedar-forested hills near Azrou. Here, we stop to observe the famous Barbary apes in their natural habitat.

We arrive in Fes in the late afternoon and transfer you to your hotel or riad.
