Package Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Demnate – Ouzoud

Depart from Marrakech early morning heading toward Demnate with its beautiful olive groves. After driving over the natural bridge of Imi N’Ifri stop off for a mint tea and savor the view. Have lunch in Demnate and stay overnight in Ouzoud Waterfalls. The waterfalls fall from 110 meters into many lash green pools. (D)

Day 2: Ouzoud – Beni Mellal – Khénifra – Azrou – Ifrane – Fez

Wake up early for breakfast before departing for Fez. Travel 217 miles (350 kilometers) across the mountains of the middle Atlas through Beni-Mellal, the bustling agricultural market. Continue past the limestone plateaus, cascading rivers, volcanic peaks, and cedar forests of Azrou where you might see the local Barbary apes. (B)

Day 3: Fez

After breakfast, explore Fez on a guided walking tour. Fes is the oldest of the imperial cities in Morocco. Visit the medieval Medina and the many sights it has to offer. (B)

Day 4: Fez – Meknes - Chefchaouen

After breakfast, we depart to Meknes to visit this Moulay Ismail Imperial town. Among the sights, we visit the attic stables of Moulay Ismail, and Bab Mansour, the most famous door in the whole of North Africa. Then we head to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, the birthplace of Moulay Idriss. Continue to Chefchaouen, one of the most picturesque small towns in the Rif Mountains. (B)

Day 5: Chefchaouen - Tétouan – Tangier

Today you will explore Chefchaouen, known as the blue city. Admire the blue-glazed houses in the medina. Then later transfer across the Riff Mountains to Tangier. (B)

Day 6: Tangier – Asilah – Larache – Rabat

After breakfast, explore the mythical port city of Tangier. Visit the caves of Hercules and Spartel before departing to Asilah. This lovely beach town with Spanish influence is a lovely stop before continuing to today's capital Rabat. (B)

Day 7: Rabat - Casablanca – El Jadida – Oualidia

Take a tour of Rabat, a modern capital, and the seat of the Royal Palace, parliament, and embassies. Then we depart for Casablanca, the economic capital where we visit the Hassan II mosque. Continue to El Jadida, a Portuguese town with a UNESCO-listed status. Learn about the Portuguese occupation of the 16th century. Then we continue along the coast to Oualida. (B)

Day 8: Oualidia – Safi – Essaouira

After breakfast, take a short visit to Oualidia, a village of fishermen well known for its oysters. Depart to Essaouira via Safi, formerly known as Asfi, an important port since Roman times, though mainly known for sardines and colorful pottery! (B)

Day 9: Essaouira – Taroudant

Today you will explore the Medina of Essaouira which is charming and much more relaxed than the one in Fes or Marrakech. Late afternoon we transfer to Taroudant, the old capital of the Souss and a typical Moroccan city. (B, D)

Day 10: Taroudant – Aoulouz – Taliouine – Taznakhte – Ouarzazate

This morning have some time to enjoy Taroudant. We recommend walking in the old city. Then we set to travel the Anti Atlas Mountains through the scenery of desert and strange-shaped mountains. After stopping off at the beautiful oasis town of Taliouine, visit the capital of Saffron. See Taznakht, a Berber town well known for its handmade Berber carpets. (B, D)

Day 11: Ouarzazate – Zagora

Depart in the morning from Ouarzazate to Agdez, passing over the Tizi-n-Tinfifite Mountain pass. Stop at Kasbah Tamnougalte for lunch and continue to Zagora via the largest oasis of Morocco the Draa Valley, especially famous for its sweet dates. Continue to Tamengroute to the Koranic library and the local potteries, which produce all the green pottery that you will see in the south. (B, D)

Day 12: Zagora – Nekob – Tazzarine – Alnif – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, depart to Merzouga through the unique desert landscape, sprinkled with palm oasis, and via the volcanic mountains of Sahro. Continue towards the Merzouga dunes. You have the choice between spending the night in an air-conditioned hotel room or sleeping under the stars in a bivouac, a makeshift shelter. (B, D)

Day 13: Merzouga – Erfoud – Tineghir – Boumalen Dadès

Set off toward Tinerhir along the Ziz Valley, surrounded by palm trees. Visit a palm grove followed by the visit of Todra gorges, along an impressively high and narrow canyon. (B, D)

Day 14: Boumalen Dadès – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

After breakfast set off towards Marrakech. On today's drive, we will cross the Impressive Atlas Mountains on the dramatic drive of Tizi TIchka (B)
